Nature:

The pure product is a colorless orthorhombic crystal. The industrial product is a clear or yellow solution, and the solid sodium hydrosulfide with a content of 70% is a light yellow crystal. It is deliquescent, soluble in water or alcohol, and its aqueous solution is relatively stable. The aqueous solution has a strong alkaline reaction and is corrosive to human skin.

Uses:

It is mainly used as a raw material for the preparation of ammonium sulfide and pesticide acetic acid alcohol semi-finished products, and is widely used in the mining industry for flotation copper ore, for hair removal and tanning in the tanning industry, for removing monomer sulfur in activated carbon desulfurizer in the fertilizer industry, and for sulfurous acid dyeing in the production of man-made fibers
